We have been married for 10 years and all that time we only bought 2 paintings. The first one we had was this reproduction (poster), which I loved. I wanted to buy it but the lady in the art gallery said that they can copy it exactly but using real paint. Of course, being so gullible, we fell for her trap. Needless to say the painting was hideous. We used to hang it in our house to remind us of what happens when we become impulse buyers. The second painting is your Mother and Child (Tibuli Painting), which we really love. After our first (and hopefully last) bad experience in the Arts, my wife and I vowed that the next painting we would buy is something that we have already seen and something that we both love. Your painting met both criterias. We love the very intricate design of the clothes and head gear and the colors are just so vibrant. I also love mother and child paintings. I wish I could give more "professional" comment about your work but I guess you have known by now that we are novices in art appreciation. I hope you do not mind if I blog about this. It has been the highlight of my day. I can not imagine the power of the Internet!
