LaPiS 006 – Soup July 27, 2008

The Tom Yang Goom is one of my favorite soup.  This delicious Thai cuisine is, for me, the closest thing to our Pinoy Sinigang but with a twist.  Its distinct spicy and sour broth is made more delicious because of the fragrant smell of various vegetable and spices, which include the lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, corriander, shallots, fish sauce, tamarind and, of course, ground chilli pepper.  Usually, this is cooked with coconut milk and served with prawn, crabs and other seafood.  However, some variations can also be made with chicken.  For all those who have not yet tried this delicious soup, the only thing I can say is ”Go to the nearest Thai restaurant in your neighborhood and order this now!”
